I am pleased to announce that Becca Felgate has been appointed as Area Network Commissioner for BSO. She will continue to carry out her existing role as NE District Scout Network Commissioner.
Becca said
“I was a part of 3rd Molesey scout group whilst in the UK as an Explorer, Network and then supporter before moving to Sweden in 2015 where I joined 1st Djursholm first as a Scout Leader, and then over time the Explorer Scout Leader and GSL.
I started the NE District Scout Network Commissioner role around May last year, and although we are still growing and finding our feet there has already been an enthusiastic response from Network members feeling connected and a part of a wider group.
As with everything in BSO the fact that we are spread out across such distances makes a lot of things more challenging for us, but I am looking forward to about finding new and interesting ways to keep our Area and District Networks connected and active, whilst supporting our members through Top Awards.
Having been a Leader of BSO Unit 99 at the WSJ19 it has been so rewarding already to see lots of familiar faces from our Young People who are now adults and being able to follow their journeys into Network, as well as getting to know our new members around the world.
I am delighted to see the development of our Area and District Networks, what I will learn along the way, and what our Network members are capable of achieving”.
Please can you join me in welcoming Becca to the role.
