Gone Home: John Nordkvelle

It is with great sadness we share the news of the passing of John Nordkvelle, District Chair for Northern Europe.

For many years, John was a active part of British Scouts Western Europe, serving as Deputy Area Commissioner and Area Training Manager for many years, before continuing to support Scouting, as part of 6TH EASTCOTE SCOUT GROUP.  John served as District Commissioner for Benelux & Scandinavia in the early days of BSO.

Latterly John continued to support training across BSO, particularly with managers and supporters, taking over as District Chair in 2020 for Northern Europe in helping to provide good governance.

John’s life was one of total commitment to his family and to Scouting and he will certainly be missed. We thank him for his service to Scouting and know that there are many whose lives have been enhanced by his example and dedication. We send our condolences to his family at this time.
