We're delighted today to announce NIlesh Tailor as the new Area Learning Team Lead for BSO.
Area Commissioner, Nathan said "I'm delighted to be able to welcome NIlesh as our new Area Learning Team Lead. NIlesh will be leading our learning and training teams as we continue the transformation journey over the next few years and furthering the fantastic work undertaken by the training team to date.
I'd like to record both mine and BSO's sincere thanks and gratitude to the tremendous work Rikki has developed and delivered over these past 6 years.
I'm sure you'll all join me in welcoming Nilesh back to BSO.
Introducing himself, NIlesh says;
My first experience with Scouting was as a Cub Scout with 8th Harrow, London. I didn't continue as a teenager but was reintroduced to Scouting when living in Belgium. I was thrilled to take on leadership of Cub, Scouts and Explorer sections over time and also as an assistant GSL for 1st Waterloo.
I have been fortunate to work with BSO when it was first created and took on the role of Area Training Manager. My last few roles have included working as a Local Training Manager and Training Advisor.
In 2022 I moved from Belgium to Finland where I continue to pursue outdoor edventures through my passion for photography and my interests in hiking, camping and motorcycle riding. I am also learning to play the saxophone.
