Following the sudden passing of Ruth Marienfeld (former DC), a poll was sent to key members of the Southern Europe Team with the proposal that Jordan McCullough (Acting DC) be made substantive in the role by Nathan Prince (BSO Area Commissioner).
By unanimous decision, Southern Europe Team agreed to the proposal and we can now confirm Jordan McCullough as District Commissioner for Southern Europe.
I am delighted to formally announce Jordan McCullough as the new District Commissioner for Southern Europe. His role will now come into immediate effect. I know that Jordan will work tirelessly for Southern Europe District to ensure that it is supported and that more young people can get #SkillsForLife through Scouting in Southern Europe region.
Nathan Prince (Area Commissioner)
Jordan start Scouting at the age of 4 as a Squirrel with Scouts NI (Northern Ireland) and grown up within his original group at 1st Cullybackey in County Antrim where he is still involved.
During his time at Scouts NI, he has been involved in various local roles in addition to being appointed as the first national Assistant Country Commissioner for Inclusion.
In August of 2021, Jordan relocated and transferred to Scouting experience and skills over to BSO within Southern Europe where he has held various leadership roles at District & Area level.
Outside of Scouting professionally, is a Senior HR Business Partner which means he partner with other senior internal and external business stakeholders to ensure that the people and human element of work is at the forefront of the decisions made.
