Following what was a very tight and highly competitive process searching for our new District Commissioner in Southern Europe, we are delighted to share that Ruth Marienfeld has been successfully appointed into this role.
Following her appointment confirmation Ruth said;
“I am delighted to become your District Commissioner. Together with the members of the District team, I look forward to continuing to support you all towards our Scouting goal of more young people achieving skills for life. We have an exciting journey ahead of us!”
Nathan Prince (Area Commissioner) added; “I am delighted that following a competitive selection process, Ruth Marienfeld has accepted the role of District Commissioner for Southern Europe. Ruth comes from a strong scouting background and truly lives the key scouting values. There were a number of very strong candidates for the position which made the selection recommendation a tough job for the search team. These candidates have a lot to offer and will be consulted about other key roles within BSO. I wish to thank the search team for the amount of care, thought and diligence that they put into the process. ”
I want thank everyone for their time who was involved during the process in addition to a special thanks to everyone who applied and took the time to meet with the search panel.
Ruth’s role as District Commissioner for Southern Europe will be effective immediately.
